SANDRA H. WHITE 

Sandra H. White has been licensed to practice law since 1978. She earned her Juris Doctorate at the University of Houston, Bates College of Law at a time when women were not admitted to law school in great numbers.  In 1985 she attended George Washington University in Washington D.C. where she pursued an advanced Law Degree in International Labor after having been a trial lawyer with the United States Department of Labor in Dallas, Texas. During her time at the U.S. Department of Labor, she became versed in federal laws such as the Fair Labor Standards Act and a host of other labor related laws and federal trial practice in not only the U.S. District Courts in Texas but New Mexico, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas. 


After returning from Washington D.C., she was appointed the first Chief Municipal Court Judge for the City of Denton, Texas and kept that position from 1986 to 1996, while also being appointed Denton County's first Administrative Magistrate, where she continued to serve until 1999.  In addition she also served as an associate judge for several small municipalities in Denton County through 2006. 
 
Ms. White also served as In-House Legal Counsel, Century Disposal Inc., Austin, TX which company received the Best Small Business Award  and Best Small Company Offering Employment to Persons with Disabilities Award from Governor Rick Perry
in 2006. 

Ms. White was also instrumental in helping the City of Austin, Texas provide a hearing forum for its citizens and businesses who had grievances with the City over electric billings, sanitation billings and issues, water billings and issues, and issues with the Austin Police Department. Ms. White served as the Formal Hearings Officer from 2005 through 2006. 


Upon returning to the Dallas area, Ms. White established the Law Office of Sandra H. White, with a primary focus of providing legal services in the Family Law area. She has represented clients, both men and women in family related matters such as divorce, child custody, termination of parental rights, and paternity contests. She has been noted by many of her clients as caring and enthusiastic about her clients' cases and gives each client's case her personal attention from beginning to end.


Over the span of the past 35 years, Ms. White also taught Legal Research and Writing at  Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas.
